     Artist's Statement

"My artwork depicts the geography of the interior landscape, an inner awareness shaped by the unique path we each travel on the earth. The imagery in my work presents fragments of this inner landscape woven together and challenging the classic definition of the landscape genre.

I consider my art as poems composed of images rather than words and hopefully the end result is harmonious as is good poetry. I strive to show images much closer to the ones we keep in our mind -- images of beauty where the physical, and the imagined have equal footing, a visual space where the literal and metaphorical easily co-exist, a vision where memory and emotion have as strong an effect as light and shadow upon a the subject."
