"This
morning, as I wrote my editorial, I again realized the power art, i.e.,
aesthetics, has to impact our lives in a vital, positive way. Listening to the
news, I decided to turn to another station; a beautiful melody floated and
danced from my radio. My whole mood changed, instantly. Instead of a personal
contraction into the sighs of life, I began to feel a resurgence of power, an
increase of space and an uplift of energy. "Bring on the world," I thought. I
then went to a Web site of a wonderful artist, Daniel Colvin whose digital
art has an incredible and powerful aesthetic impact; just see our cover
and pages 4-5. "

Editor Marie Maber interviewed Daniel Colvin and
highlighted his work in "Inner Landscapes." Excerpts include:

In “Thirst,” digital artist
Daniel Colvin presents a Death Valley landscape and his personal reaction to
that desert vista simultaneously. “I try to capture not just the physical
sense of time and place but also the emotional relationship and interior
thoughts regarding that image.”
